Dusk till Dawn - Rolex YachtMaster 16622
The model that re-invented a brand.
The C1 by Concord, introduced a couple of years ago caused quite a stir at Baselworld. Yes it’s oversized with a rubber strap (what isn’t nowadays?!), but the execution was perfect and together it has helped launched Concord back amongst the big boys so to speak.
Bling on a budget
The Hublot Big Bang Black Caviar has a case, dial, bezel and crown in facetted, polished black ceramic which resembles pave black diamonds. It is well nigh impossible to tell the time in any lighting at any angle. This watch is ultra-bling but it’s a brilliant idea - bling on a budget. Retail is somewhere in the region of US$10,000. And for some reason I like it.

I really should hate this but somehow I don’t.
Seriously serious horology from A Lange & Sohne with the Datograph Auf/Ab.
There are a few real contenders for my own personal favourite brand, and Lange come very near the top!
Larger case (39mm > 41mm), increased power reserve and other small details separate this from the previous ‘right side up’ rendition.
